Meet our Judge and Piper

Judge - Pat McMaster - Canda

We are honored to have Pat McMaster for our judge and workshop instructor this year. Pat is formerly from Scotland and has been in Canada since 1974. She was a fulltime student at the Lillian McNeil school of dance in Glasgow where she received her Highland training from her wonderful mentor Elsbeth Strathern.

In addition to being an Examiner, Fellow and life time member of SDTA, Pat is a member of the RSOBHD world Wide Judges Panel. She also has her members in SDTA, BATD and ISTD in Tap AND modern as well as her Advanced RAD ballet. Pat has also judged many Worldwide National Championships including the USIR, Internationals Australia, Commonwealth, the Scottish and World Championships in Cowal Scotland.

Pat owns her own Studio in Niagara on the Lake Ontario. Her students have won many championships in Canada, United States, Australia and Scotland including the Juvenile and Junior World Titles. In 2019 Pat received the Teacher's Award for 50 years of dedication to teaching Highland Dance from Scotdance Canada. She feels it is always a pleasure to judge anywhere big or small as we see so many dancers, parents, teachers and organizers doing what they love most to promote our world of Highland Dance.
