Welcome Merchandise Vendor!!
Some of you may be new to our Festival and some of you may be returning friends. Either way – Welcome! The Festival will be held rain or shine Saturday and Sunday, April 6-April 7, 2013 once again on the tree-lined Helotes Festival Grounds. Last year’s beautiful weather drew in crowds of approximately 7,000 including the hundreds of volunteers who helped make the event possible.
Our vendors are an important component of the Festival and we are always working to expand our offerings. The Athletic Games, Music, Food, Clans and Celtic Vendors all combine to create the successful cultural event that it is. We are expecting record crowds at the 2013 San Antonio Highland Games and Celtic Music Festival.
The SAGHA Board of Directors works every year to create the best experience possible for our patrons. As a result, we make changes and adjustments to the Festival every year. This year we will have a slight increase in our merchandise vendor booth fees (by approx. 15%). You may note that we have not raised our rates in the last 8 years and now we must do so in order to help cover the increased costs that we now incur to hold the festival. Our rates are still significantly below those of other similar festivals around the state, and we hope that this increase does not deter you from vending with us.
Additionally, all standard power receptacles on the grounds are 120V. Vendors who pay for power will have access to these receptacles, but will need their own extension cords. If you need anything other than this 120V, it must be coordinated with me at least two weeks prior to the event and additional fees may be applied.
Applications and information on booth pricing, our special-rate hotel, and other vendor criteria are attached. If you are interested in attending the 2013 Festival as a vendor, please submit your completed application package in accordance with the instructions included with this packet by March 8, 2013. We will send out notification of acceptance or rejection by March 15, 2013. Wristbands will be distributed at the gate on Friday, April 5. If you will be arriving on Saturday to set up, please allow for enough time to get set up prior to opening the gates. All vehicles must be off the premises by 9am on Saturday.
